FOR MORE on Patent Misrepresentation

• Jean Madden Street Swag is NOT patented - official letters from IP Australia.
• Jean Madden Street Swag false patent claim deceives the media.
• Official Street Swag “charity” website claims false patent.
• Jean Madden falsely uses a patent number on her Street Swag product.
• Jean Madden nomination to prestigious Awards - contain false patent claim.
Note: This same photo would later be used to promote the Jean Madden Street Swag internationally.  Did these students know that they were inadvertently volunteering for a product which is not patented? Did they know the Street Swags they sit on and roll were shown in a lab to ignite in only one second? Did they know about liquid fire?

A simple web search will show how many times the Jean Madden Street Swag has been incorrectly stated as 'patented'. See the 'patented' false claim acknowledged by the unwitting Telstra Business Women's Awards.

It is deceptive to claim ownership of a non existent patent. (Patents Act 1990).  It is illegal to do this around the world.

The Australian Governments patent body, IP Australia, has written repeatedly that the Jean Madden Street Swag is NOT patented. Click here to read the letters. So why is Jean Madden ignoring this fact when promoting and discussing the Street Swag?

The misrepresentation that the Street Swag is patented has been repeated in the media. See below media promotion of a Street Swag claimed to be 'patented'.

Reporter: Deputy Editor Jill Rowbotham, TWAM Sydney.
“They are not commercially available, although the design is patented and she hopes to make some money to fund the charity.”

DESLEY BLANCH : Fantastic! Well, you've patented your design and now you've brought out this commercial line for campers. So how does the design differ from the Street Swag?
Note in the interview - Jean Madden does not correct this false patent misrepresentation.
